Yea guess what the family is shopping for...

Don't forget they have a 1 pound down jacket at $99 that compresses to a grapefruit. I use it to suppliment my 1 pound sleeping bag so on warmer winter nights I can still move around. Yes I really do layer and wear under-armor

I was shopping for a puffy midlayer myself, and settled on http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___76358 . In green, because that's what they had in my size for the sale price.

Check out the golite selkirk jackets. They are $139.99 800 fill and weight is 6oz. I have a lot of down jackets. I have a Mont Bell UL, Mont Bell EX, Marmot Zeus, Patagonia Down Sweater, Patagonia Down Shirt, and Golite Selkirk. Out of all of my jackets my Mont Bell UL seems to be the warmest. Its an 800 fill but I've herd rumors that its based on European standards which makes it a 900 fill. Not sire if there is truth to that but it lofts more then any of my other jackets. But I give my Selkirk a strong 2nd place and for the weight savings it has really become my go to jacket.

Shonryu,

How do you find the fit of the Golite Selkirk jacket? I notice some reviewers complain that it is too long. Concern would be extending below a rain jacket.
