That will be me tomorrow on the AT in NY though slightly slower and with a slightly larger pack. Plan to miss the puddles a bit more then the did in the video.

And I believe there was a thread on this video a while back; it's of a ranger that ran thru GSMNP http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiEGWvAT_ZU

I came across this blog on running site and it struck a cord with me, since this year has been tough on me with respect to injuries, most of which are self-induced from stupidity and stubbornness. I think I've finally made a change in my workouts and that's how I mainly connected with this author (who's an Ultra-trail runner); I wish I would've read it earlier, maybe I would already be injury free now.

I'm a big fan of acceptance, because in the end you'll have to except it anyway one way or another, so get busy living.

Kind of a cool PBS (NOVA) documentary on challenging sedentary people to run the Boston Marathon with only a 40-week preparation period. However, I'm against the idea of going from couch to marathon in less than a year for many people, would rather see at least a two year prep for many, not because of cardio, but to properly build up the skeletal system. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HH8nQiILe1Q

However, one guy did pretty good in the marathon.

Tomorrow is the NYC marathon, so I was looking at various videos as a review of previous races and last year's winners, but then I came across this one that focuses on strides. Really interesting and it talks a little about heel strikes, which we all got a little too obsessed with a few years ago, especially me:o, after that book came out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFxPlUKrZPQ

I'm not a trail runner but that video was entertaining, nicely made.

Entertaining. Having a running partner that looks like that and is obviously strong mentally, while wearing those sexy tights, gets me excited to, umm, run too. :D

I like First Ascent vids too. Music is key.

That video just shows that trail runner don't stop and smell the roses. I have really enjoyed trail running, sorta of hiking with a bit too much caffeine.

Pro marathoners spend about 75% of their time during a marathon flying :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jb53bSl_HYQ
