    I did quite a bit of studying, research, and weighing out the options (every def of weigh implied). I looked at LightHeart Tents, but I have Leki's screw lock poles. For those tents it was recommended to use slide lock poles and I saw their reasoning after watching a video review.   3. SOL escape Bivy

    I recently purchased the new SOL escape bivvy. I have used it on one overnight in conjunction with my 20+ synthetic bag and I am quiet impressed. It was warm and not clammy as advertised. Just wondering if anyone else has any feed back on it. Thinking I may have found a new UL summer bag!

  4. Hike to Damascus

    I have hiked the AT from Springer Mtn to Newfound Gap in the Smokies in four different hikes in the past two years. Will continue my journey to Damascus in Apr 2013 with my hiking partner, Atlas, who I met on the trail. I'm not sure how far I will go from there. My initial goal was hiking the trail through Ga. but now have extended it to completing the Southern Appalachians to Damascus, Va.. I'm sure that I will go across Mt. Rogers b/c I heard it was so beautiful. ...
