    I need to interrupt the chronology of our reports because I can't wait to tell everyone about today's adventure at Amicalola State Park near Dahlonega, GA.   2. Quiet before the storm.

    A plenty of good people have been giving me sound advice and strong support since I merely muttered the idea of attempting an A.T. Thru hike.

    With so many new experiences occurring in my life, it is always a shock to me how quick events are conceived from my minds conception.

    I don't write as much as I would like to. I don't know who does. My best friend is a writer and he doesn't seem to think he does. So therefore any words down on a page will be a win for me.

  4. the-panhandlers...trailbound on April 26th!

    the-panhandlers, a small group of Northwest Florida hikers will be on the trail this Saturday! We've "layered up" to keep hypothermia at bay (some of us Floridians don't take cold too well).

  5. Saturday's Long Hike and blood sugar repercussions

    We are planning a guided hike in Paynes Prarie today with a focus on Medicinal and Edible plants in the Wild.

    If the rain causes a cancellation of the walk then we will hike the Hawthorne-Gainesville Trail for a little bit, eat some lunch and then come home.
