  1. Shuttle/car service

Hello again: I am thinking of starting a shuttle and car service here in Vermont for AT and LT hikers. I would pick you up and/or drop you off at your desired location in VT. Also, you could park your car at our house, then I would bring you to your starting point, then pick you up when you were done. How much to charge, is what I am asking for any input on. Thank you, Mike G in VT

  2. Introducing "Toots"

Snacktime and I are gearing up for our Upper Goose Pond Cabin trail magic bag delivery trip.
This year is going to be extra-special, as we'll be accompanied by one of our favorite hiking buds, our 6yr old cousin and grandson.

WB folks, welcome ďTootsĒ, who'll be making the hike and learning how much fun it is to meet hikers and hand out goodies to them. So all you Thrus, Sectioners, and Dayhikers, if we happen to catch up with you on your hike, you'll be sure to receive one

But I ainít complaininí, just frankly explaininí how this ainít the fun I was thinkiní,

  4. Trail Names

Data, Rad, Moon Shine, Machine and Viking. Just a few of the "Names" I have met on my short walks on the A.T. I have met many more hikers, but I forget their names sometimes or they are really focus and just say, "Hi", which I understand completely. Stay strong, 1 step at a time. MG up in VT. Catch ya later.

  5. Appalachian Trail Adventures: Hikes on the AT and other trails.

I did two more hikes this past month: A section hike of the AT from Pearisburg, VA to Salem, VA. I had intended t go much farther, but unfortunately got sick and needed to come off the trail. After recovering a few days, I did a four day section on The Foothills Trail near my home in South Carolina. There are two new pages about these hikes on my blog.
