  2. survival camping in virginia

I'm a Hampton roads local in Virginia and am very interested in doing survival camping however I can't find anywhere to do it. Usually I camp around Shenandoah or Jefferson national forest. But I'd really like to find somewhere that I can set up for a few days and build a primitive survival shelter and practice up on my survival skills. 4. Starting on the AT Wed. 3/26

Like a lot of folks I have just been a reader here. Between wrapping up things at home, career, getting ready, etc., there just hasn't been much extra time to participate actively. That said, I did want to let others know that I should be starting this Wednesday (nobo) and hope to meet some of you on the trail. I'll post most of my updates via my blog but will try to be more active here as well.

Best of luck to everyone in the class of 2014!

I have no idea if I will make it to Maine or not. I am concerned about my body breaking down more than running out of cash. Trying out the Ribzpack for the first leg of trip. In theory, it helps with weight distribution, and access ...
