For me, however, going to Georgia in 17 days will be my first trip to the Deep South since a week on Edisto Beach, SC in 2005, and my first time going to Georgia that didn't involve driving through or laying over at ATL.

    I spent yesterday morning working on my entry for the Trail Days annual Billville Useless Gear Contest. I think I am onto something with this idea. It could even go to market. Hmm, the possibilities this has. Sorry I cannot say what it is. I donít want anyone stealing my patent.

    Hello. I am a relatively new user of this AT resource. I currently plan to return to my AT section hike on May 1, 2010, leaving from the Ironhorse Inn in Hot Springs, NC. I hiked from the Lodge at Amicaola Falls, GA to Hot Springs, NC during March 29 thru Aprile 28, 2009.
