19 days from Springer Mountain 0.0m to 150.7m NC 143 (Stecoah Gap) Springer Parking Lot 2.0m round trip to 0.0_37.7m Tesnatee Gap=39.7m Dicks Gap 69.6_85.4m Deep Gap, Kimsey Creek Trail=15.8m Winding Stair Gap 109.8_129.2m Tellico Gap=19.4m US 19 & 74 N.O.C. 137.3_150.7m Stecoah Gap. =13.4m =/= 86.3m. Total hike less shuttles and towns on the AT 86.3 miles even tho I reached marker 150.7.

Follow the Kimsey Creek head waters down to Standing Indian Campgrounds to shuttle or a bus into town. 1 hour from at to campground.

Beer is a real price gouger $20 at bar to $10 a six pack. I found crafted mix match at a gas station $2 per bottle was a real treat.
At Helendorf: I took a quiet tread water at the pool. It was only 4 feet deep -stretching muscles- a very relaxing experience, and breakfast continental free even though Wendy's was across the street.

With shuttle rides into town and back to trail 4 in 4 out, $15 bucks a person estimate cost for shuttle total at $120. $180 + $1,255 = $1,435, $1435/19=$75.52 This $75.52 number is from what you start with (myself) to total days. $140 bucks to TOWN.

Above explains cost with shuttle, resupply, beers and hostel/hotel and pizza. Exceptions: in town a four day stay with injury. Exceptions: A birthday I needed to party. Cost can be reduced in half. I might be exaggerating but this is the best of how I spent and what I started with this is what I ended up with.

Total about estimates $1,061+$500-$83=$1,478-$43=$1435 at start of the thru-hike.
$83 is for a day at Disney FLA. $43 next day gas and food.

Nine days in town inclusive equal E$1,200. 133.33
Ten days on trail inclusive equal E$235. 23.5

Proper discipline that 133.33 can reduce to $60-$70 a visit to town and still be comfortable. This is a good target to start with but like I said it can go higher to E$140 that number begged me to discipline with out arguments to a partner.

Rate to thru-hike days spent at easy pace 5-10 miles. That adds up to $23.5 total 2,190 miles end 219 days estimated $5,146.50 182.5 days is an average hike the AT. 17 mile day was a single event.

I started with E$1,300 in gear reducing it by returning and eliminating not needed items to a bottom line of E$900. Cabels Two-Pole 2p over REI Passage your choice. LIGHTWEIGHT.

4 times resupply per month at 5 months 80 x 5 = 400 once a week you resupply carry 7 days, is very difficult expect to carry 2 days food eat in town every 3rd day is a very light way to hike. Recent read on the web. Going in a town Staying on the trail options your call. This hike I did for 2016 better to have done a 2 day supply in my opinion this November 2016. Once you get pass a month carry food changes aspect.
