Pickle Branch Campsite to Catawba 4 Pines Hostel 13.7 miles (6 mi slack pack at 2pm from Hostel) Easy and fast trail.

9/29/17 Saturday McAfee Knob ( the iconic photo op of the AT) and Tinkler Cliffs
Catawba (SR 311)to Stealth Campsite on old AT. 14.5 mi. Very scenic with more descending after Tinkler. Overall more like hiking a national park trail because of over-use!
9/30/17 Sunday hiked out. Easy Trail.
LMS to US 220 out at 9:15am This hike was a redo for bad weather on Hike #13 so we could see Dragon Tooth.
