Just on the chance that someone might find these things useful for your own alcohol stove setup, here's two articles I did on how to make a priming pan for your stove, and also a fairly simple pot stand.

This particular pot stand was made with titanium rod, to see how that works, but it's easy to use bike spokes, stainless steel too, and they are cheap and easy to find, either free off a trashed bike wheel, or very low price from a bike shop that sells them individually. Bike spokes weigh a bit more but not a lot, and are super strong and durable.

I include some pictures below so you can get the general idea, but the articles have a complete how to make them, with full pictures of the process.

I'll be posting, when I find the time/energy, a long series on how to make a backpack, with a ton of pictures from most of the steps, but that's going to take a while to put together.

I hope this might spark someone's imagination who might find these useful solutions to a pesky set of problems.
