Hey,
I'm wondering about the closest airport and reliable shuttle service to get me to US321 near Hampton TN. I think it's US321 anyways. I got off the trail near Watauga Lake/Dam in 2004. I'll be traveling from Maine and hiking home. This would be for mid/late spring 2019.

This is absolutely NOT the final word on this subject, but only a start. I'm sure there are better choices out there, but this is one to START with, for comparison.
Anyway, Mountain Harbour will shuttle between Tri-Cities Airport and Lake Watauga for a total of $130. They may charge less because the lake is between them and the airport.

We have used Mountain Harbour for shuttle and they are good folks....highly recommend.

Suggestion:
Call Mountain Harbor. Ask for a quote for a shuttle from their location to Tri-Cities. You hike to there location ON THE AT. As I understand it, it’s not that far from the Lake to Mountain Harbor.
