The resulting crush of interest crashed (error 509) the official www.greateasterntrail.net site today. Someday's site www.gethiking.net remained up this evening. Still not sure nobo is the best direction.
I was going to use the Tuscarora Trail as an alternative to the AT through the Cumberland Valley, but was deterred by the posts to my question about that. That leaves me with the Trail Guide for the north half of the Tuscarora Trail and the 2 maps that cover it from the AT in the north to Hancock Maryland, maps J and K. I would rather someone who is going to use these have them. If you will assert that you will use them and include a mailing address, I will send them to you. 1st come 1st served. If you don't want to post your name and address, send me a personal message.

I did laugh at the Outside story, in which they talk about "avoiding the conga line of people" then the very first photo, of the GET, shows a long line of hikers on the trail... :)

I just followed the Flickr link under the photo and searched thru his albums till I found the photo. It's Dolly Sods, which I suppose shouldn't be too surprising.
