Just wanted to give a heads up regarding water in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. As of within the last 7 days, Derek Knob is the last water near the AT southbound until Fontana Dam. Supposedly if you drop down the Eagle Creek trail at Spence Field, .25 miles past the water pipe you will find a running creek. Most of the shelters barring Pecks Corner has water north of Clingman's Dome.
