I'm using my ULA Circuit for this trip. I think the 10 liters Ursack would fit just nicely inside there
I start my thru-hike NoBo in just a few weeks. I'm planning to get a Ursack as my every day (night) food bag. The FAQ on the Ursack website says that most national parks and forest services approve...
I wish they still did North Woods Law in Maine
This is quite sad. A lot of nice people there too. Looks like I'll resupply in Robbinsville in a few weeks.
Um . . . . no
Thank you for all of the suggestions that I've been currently doing research on. My top choices right now are Big Agnes or Six Moon Designs. I'm also trying to aim for a tent with a small vestibule...
The title is pretty straightforward.
I'm looking to buy a double-walled tent to decrease the condensation inside my tent in the morning which I am always having trouble with.
Also, I prefer a...
Are they insulated?
I've been confused about the closure of the trail (AT). I understand that every shelter and privy is closed, also many of the road crossings, national and state forests are closed as well. I'm...
Plus, the question that should be asked is "How high does the death percentage have to go in order for everyone to quarantine and lockdown?" The economy is suffering greatly because of this.

I'm starting my thru-hike at that time too. The trail is crowded every year from what I've heard. However, I think it could go either way due to the biggest financial crisis ever that's happening...
I got 840. I hope that's not too shabby.
Pal's is delish. Definitely stop by this Northeastern Tennessee chain restaurant with burgers and hotdogs sometime. Didn't know they went that south down in Erwin.
I'm thru-hiking next year, and I also wish to summit Kilo sometime in the future. . .
Thank you PennyPincher for starting a thread like this during the times that we live in right now.
My trail name is "Guido" for two reasons. First, as a little kid, I used to call the "guide"...
I agree. An avocado actually has twice as much potassium as a banana does.
The main sources of electrolytes are sodium, magnesium, and potassium. If you can get those in your diet, I think anyone will do great.
Who knows when the entire country could go on lockdown, so stopping is probably the smartest decision.

I bet they're comfortable to wear in the water, plus, they dry out quickly.
I used to have a pair of crocs that I would wear without socks. They have a little plastic knob on each shoe that put blisters on the top of my feet. I haven't worn those since.
