Just wash it out with some soap and water. You might get a little discoloration, but it doesn't effect the use of it at all.
I'm a definite for NOBO 2012. Have a plane ticket for Apr 17, starting the morning of the 18th.
The balds of TN/NC. Overall, the first 700 miles in general. NH and Maine had some lovely scenery, but I figured out I really just don't care much for rock climbing.

I will. I originally did about 150 miles without them and experienced arch pain. The addition of the superfeet fixed that.
I ran into U-Haul in the 100 mile wilderness just south of Abol Bridge on 8/25. He had flipped(not sure where) and was headed south. Pack was still quite large, I was shocked to see him.
I'm 45 miles from Katahdin. I've done the entire trip with 3 pairs of WT 101's (womens version of the MT) and 1 pair of blue superfeet. A little slippery on rocks. The mesh rips out before the...
Steady here.
Ducky got off at Pine Grove Furnace State Park. He may or may not get on later in the year to do some more miles.
I'm now near Rutland, VT.
I have a Fly Creek 1 and have used in several good rains with no problems.
Used it one night when 4.5 inches of rain fell in about 6 hours. I was perfectly dry. My shoes in the vestibule floated...
I have Backcountry Navigator for my Droid 2. I downloaded one of the tracks with shelters files from http://guymott.com/atgps.html and then took the time to download all the offline topo maps near...
Update:
My actual start date will be 2/28 from Amicalola. Keeping the name as an alias for now, but going to let the trail name me officially.
Hometown: Sault Ste. Marie, MI
A bit of a trip report, for those curious....
I hiked the 120 miles from Bland to Damascus in Treks in early September. My longest day was 17 rainy miles(shortest 12). As a hiker from a...
I've been following your photos throughout the year. Pleased to see the final installment.
Your photos are AWESOME!
I'm current using 20oz Sobe Lifewater bottles. They're grooved in just the right places to fit securely. Sometimes while putting on the pack I'll knock them out, but while hiking I have no issues.
There are mail forwarding services that you can subscribe to that will receive your mail, scan it in online for viewing and then let you choose whether to have it forwarded to you or destroyed.

Personal preference, but I'd take the TP, and maybe just a few wet wipes if they help you to feel cleaner.
If you let the wet wipes dry out before you pack them you'll save a little weight and I...
I have 3 different models. The KSO, the Flow, and the Performa(indoor model).
I do all of my hiking in the Flow. I've done stretches over 100 miles with them with no issues at all. I've tried...
Found a pdf brochure on their site that lists weight as 5.4 ounces with the cartridge. Also works as a flashlight.
If it works as well as they claim, I'd definitely be interested in one.
I too have been looking for VFF user trailjournals, but haven't seen any.
I've hiked several hundred non AT miles in the Flows(I also have KSO's, but strongly prefer the Flow). I hope to hike...
I'd be interested, but I live in Sault Ste. Marie and work until 6pm. Midland is nearly a 4 hour drive :(

Quitting a decent(but miserable) job to go. My life philosophy is much better...
Sault Ste. Marie, but I definitely feel the central/western part is the "better" part. I've spent quite a lot of time in your area.
I'm still trying to convince myself that quitting my job isn't a really bad idea in the current economy, but I'm definitely leaning toward hiking next year.
Single, no kids, living in a town I...
