Nice trip report! Looks awesome.
I hike in Altra Lone Peak's. I've been a long distance runner for 20 years, so Altra's were the first zero drop shoes I ever tried. It took me a few days to get used to that, but I've never looked...
Does anyone have a review on this pack yet? I can't believe there isn't more out there yet.
For me the most important thing has been good insoles. I use SOLE insoles because I can heat mold them to my feet. I'm a long distance runner and I use them in my running shoes as well and I...
Patagonia long sleeve Cap 1 is my go to hiking shirt. It keeps the bugs and sun off my arms and never really seems to bother me when the temps get high. They don't make them anymore unfortunately.
I try my very best to stay on the trail at all times, but I think I would have to make an exception on this one.
I have an Exped SynMat UL and it's the quietest pad I've ever used, but I also like to throw in some ear plugs.
I just saw this the other day! So glad I have held off on placing my order. I still can't believe there are no Arc Air reviews on YouTube yet though.
I've got a Stratos 50 if you are interested. Only used for 9 miles. It's flawless.
I really like this pack on paper. I'm hoping some reviews will be hitting YouTube soon so I can decide if it's really for me or not.
I'm good with my Atom LT if I'm just standing around down to about 45-50. Provided that it's not windy.
I switched from a Jetfoil Flash to a GSI Minimalist and a BRS-300T stove. Works well for me and I wanted to cut some size and weight.
JMT thru hike, a month in Yellowstone and several long weekends in the Adirondack's.
Did you run across an rattle snakes??
Leave a bottle opener with it.
Wrong section bud.
This looks awesome and I will definitely set a reminder for myself to sign up for it next year!
I have horribly sensitive feet and used to suffer big time before I learned how to take care of them. I was going through a particularly difficult Selection Coarse and one of the evolutions was an...
Length? What side is the zip?
So since the bears ate pretty much everything we had, we turned around and hiked the same section back to the car. We'll try it again this year once the weather breaks and we'll be sure to pick a...
I forgot I asked this, so I'll post the update for those who are interested. We started at Sugar Bay, dropped one car at the trail head there and the other at the parking lot next to the church near...
I like my Jetfoil Zip just for the convenience factor. I really only do freeze dried meals, so it's simple. I am considering switching up my cooking system and going with something smaller, so I...
Not a thru hiker, but I keep mine in the vestibule. Inside a trash compactor bag if it's raining out.
I always take a pair of silk weight tops/bottoms. Nothing better than putting on comfortable clean clothes before bed.
I've been using exofficio give-n-go boxer briefs for a little while now and I love them. Easy to wash at night and no odor. I like the feel of compression shorts, but I've had some bad experiences...
