Work continued last week as we moved rocks, laid down plastic sheeting and started putting down trap rock. Maybe last of maint. for this year due to recent snow storm

All along the trail in NJ & NY there are signs telling you what to do. There is plenty of online info on what to do

There is a AT Parking Lot in North Adams with some services nearby. You could hike from there along the AT Section 1 North to the Vermont border where the Long Trail begins. Better get the WB guide...

You could try asking at the Mohican Outdoor Center (if open) if you could park at their location.

FYI The Martz Station had no WIFI unless the buses were in the lot last September.

There are a couple of companies that rent SPOT. I rented one for 2 weeks. Came with batteries and they added my contact into from a PDF the sent me to fill out.

Try the Appalachian Motel on Rt 94 in Vernon. They'll pick you up (maybe not right now) if you make the reservation directly from them.
