The trail down into Pearisburg can be a bummer in a rainstorm but other than that It was a fairly easy trail.

Gas station store has great to go food (burgers, pizza ect) and enough food options to get you to Daleville. Hostel can be busy but they usually will make store trips as it is a walk on asphalt.

Congrats! I am also a section hiker and have had 3 trips to get from Springer to Virginia. Plan to complete the trail also.

I went back to the ground and sleep mush better than I ever did in a hammock. I do use a full size pad though as I did find my toes on the floor when I would wake up. Do what works for you.
