My expeds have a push pin valve . I can over the flap, push in a rubber pin, and adjust the amount of air in the pad while i'm laying on it.

It's about 25-30' down the slickrock trail on the left hand side. It's pretty overgrown in the summer but you should still be able to see it.
I shied away from the bear vault for this reason. I don't trust the lid. I also carry the bareboxer, or mini-Garcia as I call it, because of its recessed lid and three slit locks (these aren't coin...
There were several posts on various sites about a big bear going into tents on the Bob and naked ground recently. As a matter of fact, on alltrails a woman was staying right at that site on the Bob...

Bummer Walter. Those pics did give me a little PTSD flashback to when my Expeds bit the dust. I know you are hesitant to trust things after big disappointments but I think Exped solved baffle issues...
Yes. If you are using tyvek, or a cut-to-size walmart tarp, it will impede water from entering the tent due to the higher hydrostatic pressure of these items versus the tent. Best way to know for...
If you are camped in a location where excess rainwater could pool, having the ground sheet between the ground and the tent will do nothing to stop water from entering a tent with a poor/fair...
Updating my Exped 3D experience, no issues after 250+ nights and 5 years. I've used it quite a few times in my Amok Dramur at 90%+ full, as well.

Glad you are enjoying it. Took my original version out for, possibly, the final time last weekend.
Yeah, my Notch is basically retired since I got the the original X-Mid.
Seems like this would be an easy get for LEO. Set up a lifted truck at a trailhead with a CC with GPS locator installed. the thieves would steal it, drive back to their place of "business", and then...
It has arrived. Plan on a side-by side comparison at some point. Anyone else get theirs?
Walter, glad you got through covid and are back to your usual ultralight trips.
Thanks for the clarification.
If you haven't, make reservations ASAP, this is a popular trip.
is this the tipi trip report withdrawal thread?
if Walter is out there for some zeroes, he's no doubt prepared with plenty of book rolls and rambling thoughts.
This goes beyond weirdness when police have to be notified and women abandon their hikes.
Good video and I share his concerns given the Jordan case. This guy seems highly likely to re-offend, soon.
The TT video has a pretty good explanation of pole adjustments. You would likely need to set your poles at 130cm for an angle.

I was able to snag one on Monday the 10th. The original version that I have is very good but the improvements on V2 will make it a very in-demand tent for the foreseeable future.
I place my bareboxer no more than around 50' from my tent in heavy bushes/scrub/etc. If something tries to mess with it during the night, it will make noise and then my headlamp lights it up. FYI,...
I have a Notch Li and right around 6' would max out sleeping space.
GG has packs on sale, 25% off. My gorilla has been my go to pack but I'm needing a little more room for cold weather hikes so I picked up a mariposa. At $200, it's a deal.
He's not in that swamp, alive anyway. He had, with help from his parents, at least 10 days to make plans to hide. His parents, who supposedly "loved" Gabby never became concerned enough to call him...
