Hey All,
About to hit the smokies for the first time in a long time. I usually tend to avoid the area because I like to hike with my dog, however I have been given the opportunity to make it happen...
Decided to do a few test drawings on my cuben bathtub floor. Seems like it will jold pretty well! Only time will...
Interesting, I haven't heard of those before. Says it can withstand the washing machine. I bet it could hold up. Too bad they don't make them in colors!

Hey guys. So i've got this awesome MLD cuben trailstar that I absolutly love. However, i have been getting rather tired of the bland white color. I was wondering if any of you have ever tried dying...
Hey guys,
Any Meteorologists out there that have a good predition of what winter in the Sierras is going to be like this year? Super psyched to get out there. Hoping for some good snow trekking next...
Hey Zen!
Glad to see you've got the site working for the PCT now too. Looking forward to using it out there as well

Thanks for the advice guys. I haven't looked too extensively into the Railriders before. They're looking pretty sweet. I'll probably end up with the Adventure top; Looks perfect!
Iim really looking for something thats as minimal as it gets. I don't see myself needing pockets of many buttons. Just a simple sun shirt that packs sown small and is still breathable
I used La Sportiva Wildcats on my AT thru, but I would suggest giving sandals a try. I hike in chaco's now and love them. The straps can be perfectly adjusted to the shape of your foot. I will be...
Her Guys, Redlocks here.
I'm planning a 2018 PCT thru and am currently working on putting together a gear list. On this thru I'm really working on going ultra light (Cuben tarp/Pack, down quilt,...
I'll make sure to update if i find any luck. Maybe a little buried trail magic?!? but most likely I'll end my hike not a penny richer then i left haha. But its all in good fun
And thanks for the advice Tuckahoe!
I mean hey, all the haters and judgers out there feel free to hate. Im not going out hiking the AT searching for gold by any means. And im not planning on spending a tremendous amount of zeros...
Anyone out there tried panning for gold along the trail? Any luck? So i hear theres gold in them hills. I mean call me crazy but I'm bringing my pan with me on my thru attempt this year. its only...
oh man, that things sweet
+1 more on the La Sportiva Wildcats. Super supportive and durable with a very thick sole. Definitely going to last me a while on the trail
I just recently found that the AT runs near the town of Burkittsvile Maryland, which is the town made famous from the movie "The Blair Witch Project." Creepy Creepy
Hmmm I feel like maybe they just aren't taking registration for the 2016 season yet. I just got on the site and registered for my 2015 thru and pretty much everything was open.
I will eventually. haven't started posting yet but will begin closer to my start date (April 6th).

Keep an eye out on Steep and Cheap. Deals change every day. I found a good amount of my gear here for a lot less then wholesale value.
Just curious what hikers tend to do with their packs when in town, shopping at a store, exc. I can understand leaving your pack behind at a hotel or a hostel, but I am not planning on staying in town...
