Don't forget about the wilderness areas. They are not blazed anymore. They actually went through, and painted over the blazes that were still there. Makes sense to me...paint the blazes, but cut...

We did 4 days. Saw 2 kayakers on the lake next to choccolocca shelter, and 2 day hikers on top of Dugger. Oh...and one guy at the Church. I dont count Pine Glenn campground.
11 had water, before you go up the mtn. There were probably 4 different places to get water. Now...it wasnt a lot of water, but flowing. Seasonal I guess youd say...

Three of us are headed north next week from fs500. Anybody else going to be out there?

Why would any vendor sell a full size hammock for someone that is less that 120lbs? That's crazy! If they knew the problem, and admitted it...then he has every right to bash them. Everyone is...
I used a cosmic down 20 for a while, as a top quilt. I just left it unzipped...put my feet in...pulled it up over my shoulder. Worked just fine. Then,Santa brought me a real, down, tq. It is...

The Forest Service will be control burning today in the Adams Gap area. The Skyway Loop Trail from FS road 633 to Adams Gap will be closed today. The Pinhoti Trail from Adams Gap to Gunther Town will...
I heard it was really crowded up there, last weekend. A friend of mine went from Adams towards Porters for 12 miles, then back. The only folks she saw were on the campsite she was hoping to use.
WAAAAAYY too expensive...and HEAVY!
How was your trip? Little too much mileage for me, in my current, out of shape self.
Yes! You are not allowed on the trails without them. This went into effect 12/01/16.
Can you be more specific on the dates, sections, and mileage you realistically want to do?
