The trip went well did whitetop to hurricane and water was plentiful and was blessed with wonderful weather!!!

Mountian hardware drifter 3 is a great 2 1/2 person tent with big vestibules solid built and won't break the bank. There are many lighter tents but I really like this one.

Mountian hardware drifter 3 is a great tent for two under $200 still over 5 lb but very spacious with lots of vestibule space for gear (or a dog or two in my case)

Keep them coming I like motions but will be trying offline topo maps

Motion x does I have used it u just have to download maps prior to hitting the trail.


In other words the gps can locate where u r but u can actively load a maps say from google

I normally do survive without it... I was just wanting to play with it on the trail... Like gps mapping which really drains a battery and also try and do some video work... Granted its not the best...

I am looking into the aqua tek s it is water proof up to 20ft plus has a built in battery and even a small solar panel(doubt it would do alot but hey every little bit helps)

I am planning on do a small section from whitetop mt to the hurricane mt shelter. I normally only carry about half a days worth of water and just wondering how frequent water sources are in this...
