Golite's way from 15 years ago is pretty easy...velcro strap around mid bottle and shock cord loop over the top.

Might have to look for this. I alredy use some medical booties on some trips to cover a camp shoe and use it in sleeping bag for warmer feet on below freezing nights.

Once you have your base weight dialed in, only food, water and maybe the canister might change your weight.
I shy away from cuben fiber anything just yet, and use other stuff sacks I already have for backpacking.
