Update sort of.

The Western Mountaineering Badger and Caribou have served me very well this last year.

Only thing about the Caribou is I wanted more room. Did some searching...didn't even know...

It appears they last about 6 years.

Was using it in April 2023 and noticed cracks on both sides of the handle around the bolt.

I haven't done any real winter snow camping in a long time. I was in NM the end of April at about 8500' and it snowed for about 15 mins. around 2200. I loved it.

Pad: I use an Exped Ultra 5R medium wide.

It weighs 1lb 10.8oz and that includes the storage bag, schnozzle and repair kit. I've used it to the low 20s in a tent on the ground and never felt...

I lay on my side and when necessary I cover my head with the top of the bag, then make a hole for my face. IE: face is uncovered/partially uncovered but all of head is covered....

Got the Badger MF the other day. Every stitch is perfect, every seam is perfectly aligned. The bag is a thing of beauty. It came with what looks like a 14L stuff sack and a large storage sack.
