Hey All,
Taking a trip soon from Swatara to the Gap and I was wondering how the springs were running. Anyone have any info? Thanks in advance!!

I was walking in the dusk in SNP going down a fireroad looking for some cell signal to let my hiking buddy where I was. Totally not paying attention to anything, suddenly I hear a huff. I stop, look...
Fair number as in shelter space will be tight, or fair number as in the conversations will be good?
Hey All,
I'm doing a week on the AT the second week in June going Northbound and I was wondering if anyone knew if I would be hitting the bubble of Thru-hikers around that time. I'm starting at Rt....
Ok, same question but a month later. My window is July 26 - Aug 4. I was looking to do US-11 in PA to DWG or Elkwallow south for about 150 miles.
Thanks.
Actually, you can take the MARC from Union Station to HF. It's is a commuter train. Check it out here.
Spokes,
What made you give up the BOB and go with the panniers?
I've used the BOB for smaller rides (~250 miles) and enjoyed it.

Dumbest thing was my buddy's pack after his foot turned into a blister because of the 12 MRE's he brought for a 4 day trip and the winter boots he didn't break in for a hike in May.
Great trip...
Hey Garlic,
How much of each do you put in? It sounds good, but I'd like a good starting point.
Thanks.

I don't care who you are, that's f&*$ing sick.
I use full fingered cycling gloves. They fit great which means I don't have to take them off to do most things. Decent price and I've beaten the hell out of mine and most pairs can take it.
By the Pines you mean the Pine Barrens in NJ? and what year CJ?
I took my 79 CJ-7 there many a time and said the same thing.
I use a foot cream with tea tree oil in it. Wonderful stuff. Works on the mid regions as well.
I know I could probably just do the math, but does anyone know off the top of their heads how many miles of the AT is in GSMNP?
Thanks.
Getting pretty darn close.
I whistle first and then say "good morning, how's it going?, Como esta?" The whistle doesn't scare anyone, and the smile I give them makes them smile back. A win-win. This is whether I'm running or...
AT to the ADT to the PCT to the CDT ? Is that about 3 years worth?
What about those propel packets? It uses sucralose instead of sugar and it have the electrolytes and other things as well.
I thought it was the 4 state challenge?
I would advise against going southbound. My wife and I did this and hated the 3 mile hike on the C&O canal path at the end. That would have been way more enjoyable at the beginning.
Heading to Jackson Hole via Denver, Dinosaur National Monument and finally to do some hiking in Yellowstone NP. Plan on doing some bar-b-q while enjoying a beer. Busy weekend.
Wow for the prices.
