Thanks. That's great stuff.
I'm going to do the approach trail to Haiwassee starting the last week in April. I didn't do the approach when I did my thru hike.
I have hiked the BCT and live very close to it in Medfield. If anyone needs help with a shuttle back to or from your car near Medfield let me know and I'll help if I can. I up for hiking a section...
What time of year will you be taking the time?

I just spit out my soda. That was hilarious.
You'll take my aqua mira out of my cold, dead hands!!!
I came across them a couple of times. One section in PA was a short part where I walked from rock to rock and you could here them under some of the rocks.
Thanks Mags. Love the show.
My best meal was at The Home Place in Cawtaba, VA and the best place for a drink and a bite to eat was at the Inn at Long Trail, VT.
Thanks for the heads up. It's a great show.
I used the freezer bags to protect my pills, money, camera, etc... They worked perfectly.
I have really flat feet. I couldn't find any fix. I tried several combinations of shoes with Dr Scholls and just kept the best combination all the way through.

It's Hiawassee.
I'm planning on being there for Trail Days and can't wait to see your new place.
Thanks everyone for the info. I'm hoping to find out next week if the trip is a go.
Thanks Brian and Mags for the info.
I may be in the Grand Lake area this coming Memorial Day. I was wondering what the usual weather/trail conditions would be like at that time of the year. I'd like to set foot on the CDT while I'm...
Including my zero days it was about 13 miles a day.
I started April 9th and finished. If you are a fast hiker (I'm not) you could start later.
While hiking in the rain in the Whites a fellow NOBO said about the AT "First I'm going to finish and then I'm going to quit." It summed up everything perfectly.
I knew that I was going to change my career and where I lived after the trail so I paid off my debts and saved some money. After the trail I visited a few friends in different cities before making...
I've also set that as a goal. Good luck and good health.
Thanks for doing the show. I'm really enjoying it.
