I’m taking Section Hiker and Surka’s lead and going Ursack, on he AT. They have new, lighter Almightys. Hanging is a pain, canisters do seem heavier and bulky. And it will give me more confidence...
Has anyone ever made a titanium canister? I’m sure it would be Uber pricey.
Now we just need a alcohol microwave.
And, Rickb, in1983 there was much lower human density on the AT.
Took the train from Chicago to Harpers Ferry summer of 2019, arrived 3 hours late, about 3. Was about 95F. Ed Garvey was a site for sore eyes. Water shuffle left a bit to be desired. Glad they...
I know I need to get one of these, the swag bag solar one I got at a conf a few years ago with 5k won’t cut it.
So appreciate the thread and the comments. I notice the Nitecore and a couple of...
I heard Federal Reserve chairman William Powell say the Fed was against hiking this year.
As if we don’t have enough problems with COVID, bears and a declining supply of heavy leather boots!
Any word on them being open this season?

Not sure the scientific rigor behind some of these claims, but the gist holds true for me. But you have to be open to it.
I did too.
I 100% agree, but OP doesn’t get much from it
Lil bit of this and lil bit of that
I am considering one and would be interested as well.
I did use a lighter weight one a couple summers ago. Worked to keep bag clean, and was nice on a couple of warmer nights when even my 50F...
Clearly your question is pretty much a metabolism one. One aspect people have been getting at is the energy your body “uses up” warming up cold food. That seems valid. I’ve not used it, but perhaps...
Mandatory issuance now!
No coffee, no poopie. Must have stovie.
I like Slo-go’en’s version!
