From Va 42 to Massie gap. Thanks
Anyone available to do a shuttle that day?
I will be hiking from Massie Gap to either VA 42 or VA 625. We will be leaving a vehicle at one of those two locations. Which spot is the safest spot to park? Also looking for a shuttle from either...
Thanks guys! Sundog outfitters is giving me one.
Looking to start in Damascus and hike to either massie gap or Grayson highlands. Not sure on the best place to park and needing a shuttle as well. Needing it sat around 2. Thank you.
I figured since the thru hikers have a thread we can too. Just curious what's everyone's plan this year for section hike?
I will be hiking from Dennis Cove to Damascus next and then another...
That sounds awesome Lyle. I will be on a family vacation during that time or i would. I do plan on doing a big portion of the Sheltowee Trace this fall if interested.
I think im good on a pack. Heading out next week towards Damascus. Thanks anyways.
Myself and a friend will be hiking from Dennis cove rd to Damascus starting April 11. We will be needing a ride from Damascus to Dennis cove rd on that date. Thanks in advance.
This is my first day back on the forum in about 2 1/2 years. Life got a little crazy changed fire depts and went to paramedic school. Going to start back hiking in April. So many new faces. Hopefully...
Size large. Just shoot me some prices.
Looking for a light back pack for a friend. Light weight. Thanks! Large.
What section are you planning this year? I will be hiking from 19E to Damascus later this week.
Ebay has a circuit for sale. Starts at 180 w/ 15 shipping. Seller claims it has never been used. I have the Catalyst and OHM. Love them both.
Hiking Spivey Gap to US 19E-61.1 miles.

Hopefully they don’t charge $15 for a pitcher of bud light too. Beer was good but Rock bottom was expensive
How long did this take before it melted? Sounds like human error.
If anyone is looking for a good trail journal check out Lemur.
Alpine court motel. Cheap and hiker friendly.
Very cheap and light weight. Dont worry I wont get mad if you dont want this guide. Just my two cents!
Hang your food and your pack. Just be sure to put a rain cover over your pack. If there is a spot open grab it. People should not have a problem with you coming in late. Its part of staying in a...
I have the original Jetboil and the Jetboil Ti. I have used aftermarket fuel for both. Works just fine. I never use the stand. Original did not come with one. No problems yet. As far as boil time for...
Plans for the year?
My plan is to make it to Damascus this year. I will be starting at Spivey Gap. Probably break it up into two trips.
I love my JetBoil Ti. Not as light as ur small stoves but but it boils water so so fast. No wind screen needed. Most simple stove I have used.
