    stream crossings on BMT

    even if the water is higher than your sock level the socks give you better traction on wet slippery rocks then shoes or boots in my experience

    I would suggest waterproof socks if you have concern of water Crossings. Test then on a hot sweaty day first. I prefer dexshell breathable yet waterproof.

    Food...stoveless...

    pizzas good. I use cheese sticks pepperoni sticks pizza sauce and pre made store bought pizza crust.
    don't forget cookiebutter. candy.

    had lots of cooked food. stoveless for life.well at least long hikes. if you can't start a fire maybe stay home and try ordering pizza.
