I use an inflatable thermarest. Deflated,it rolls up and protects my reading glasses.

Met a throo in NJ named Lucky Strike .Evidently, he got zapped in Va. Took a few days off ,then went back on trail! They grow them tough down in NZ!

In NJ,hikers are reporting alot of ticks. Nothing like sitting around a picnic table& watching people peeling off ticks one after another!EEEEEwWWWWW!

You could call the Edge of the Woods outfitter. There is parking near trailhead south of Antlers Inn.

Nice hike,some nice views.Water available at Gren Anderson, down near road.

Pt clinton hotel opens@1100am. You can get shower for 5bucks,then they will allow you to eat lunch there. You can stay overnight at the pavillion for free.

If I bring MH I prefer the pro-pack type...Last year,in NJ,some section hikers lightened their load by leaving MH in the bear boxes. They didn't last long! There were some happy thrus!
