Not at all. And what a difference a couple of years makes!! 2 years ago, those who started in March didn't get out of the snow until after the Smokies. Craziness... But made for some really cool...

The blow downs were worse between Mt Cammerer and Dav Gap. Nothing up there really impassable. Some of y'all's folks have been up there doing some great work already!
Just got through hiking Newfound Gap to Davenport Gap Thursday through Saturday. Great hike, but demanding for sure. We made it only using Yak Trax, but a couple of others didn't use them at all. ...

Hiking Newfound Gap to Dav Gap beginning this Thursday
One of the sneakiest big climbs is Kelly Knob - after Tray. It's a butt kicker - especially at the end of a day, but your itinerary has you climbing that one at the beginning of your last day.
