Partial to Woodford, but with alcohol, I will sleep good for a couple of hours, then wiiiiiide awake.
Looking for something to help me sleep a little better. My problem isn't that I am worried about a bear of the boogeyman coming for me in the night, but my problem is that I have grown accustomed to...
Starting to try out hammock camping a bit so I bought myself a hennessy hex fly. What is the best way to pitch this tarp to weather a storm with 20-25mph winds? Should it be pitched with the sides...
Saw your film a few weeks back and enjoyed it. Well done, and congrats!

Redbeard (Will Wood on YouTube) rode out a hail storm in his zpacks duplex tent. Ended up with a few holes in the tent he had to patch IIRC.

If you have a REI near you, buy it there. You can exchange it for the new model within a year.

Anyone have a good guess at when the thru hiker bubble gets to Hot Springs? Thinking of going up there this coming spring and doing some trail magic.
Thanks!
Nice video! Watching the rest of your AT vids now. Do you have a gear list somewhere?
Bear should have been able to claim the kayak as his own as consolation for enduring two and a half minutes of her voice.
Cant edit original post. This should work.

Woman tells black bear "I am going to pepper spray you" sprays towards the bear, and bear proceeds to gnaw on her kayak.
I doubt I could get my wife to go for sleeping right by my feet. Lol. Did you ever do a fast fly setup with it? Curious how about doing fast fly would help in keeping the tent dry in the rain. ...
I have the same tent. Was there any particular reason your wife was laying in the tent backwards, with her head at the foot end of the tent?
Checking out the rest of your AT videos on YouTube. Good stuff, man! How long did your Springer to Three Forks round trip take you?
Will Wood (Redbeard) had to cut his PCT thru short due to the fires. One thing I found interesting was that he said most of the locals he talked to blamed the fires on the LACK of logging.

VERY nice camping spot to the left of the trail as you leave the shelter heading towards Neels. Look to the left when you are on the first large area of rock the trail goes across.

There were a ton of people heading up Blood Mountain. The parking area north of Neels was completely full. I would guess in the hike up Blood Mountain and back down I probably saw 50 or more...
I probably saw you on the trail. I didn't do any overnights, but I did the trail from the parking area north of Neels up to Blood and back, and then I hiked from Tesnatee Gap back to Neels. That...
Radarscope. It is a paid app, but worth every penny IMO. 99% of the time radarscope is the app you see meteorologists posting screenshots of on twitter.
The below videos are all in the direction you are asking about:

How open should the valve be?
Can someone share some tips on efficient usage of a fuel canister?
Thanks!
Back to OP's original question with regards to the cookset, I try my best to not dirty up the pot. Either use FBC, or Mountain House type meals. My spoon/fork combo does go in a ziploc bag however.
