I have not had an issue parking at Hoyt Rd or many other supposed problem AT parking lots between NJ and NH. Don't leave anything interesting out in plain sight and you will be okay ... probably. :)

trailjournals calculates the miles based on where you say you are. he could have done every mile, but did not fill out every entry in trailjournals completely.
One thing I have learned is that every "difficult" mile is actually very easy. "It's just walking," after all.
The liquid might be light or UV sensitive. If you have a clear bottle you want to use, try duct tape to 'unclear' it.
When I came to realize this after a few sections and listening to thru-hikers here and on the trail, I stopped dreaming of a thru-hike and now enjoy my section hiking all the more.
