I would be interested in doing that hike. But fall is a ways off. I'm 64 y/o , I like to get going early and hike close to sunset, I avoid shelters, 15/20 mpd. PS looking for hiking partners now....
are you interested in selling the tarp w/o poles?
I certainly would not call it a bear bones pegboard. The external frame is a innovative take on an old idea and it works, I have forgotten to put the arc in it and on a hot day you notice it pretty...
I used my ArcHual for 8 days in the GSMN with 22 lbs. all in. The first day I had the lower back pain on 1 side. The second day I was able to adjust the problem out. No problem for the next 7 days....

The Notch is a double wall, great solo tent
The GG link shows Gram kracker stove, with a total kit weight of 4.20 oz. I wonder how much a Starlyte would add? Thats a pretty neat kit ether way. But a bit pricey.

Hi Drybones, he is good company . We did a 23 mile day last month on the Pinhoti and still wanted to play at camp. Not bad for 8, But I know the day will come.
No one? I'm flexible about MPD and the dates. Great trail, great time of the year. If you are thinking about it or sitting on the fence hit me back.
Leaving behind the nagging realities of everyday life.
I would like to find a partner to thru the foothills trl with. The end of April or first part of May, around 14 to 20 mpd . I would like to look around and take it all in no rush. I hike with a very...
I like the ArcHaul top loader one compartment with the mesh for its simplicity, no need for 2nd zipped compartment. I keep gravity filter setup, ground cloth, wet rain gear in the mesh. If my tent is...
Just finished 8 days in GSMN
I think the TT notch is a better comparison plus access to 2 vertibules
Hi Ed,PM sent.

Dogwood;2112953]Umm, get off coffee?
Of the things I've had to get off of in my life coffee is not one. I love me a fresh cup of brew in the morning
