"The" sorry.
Some people don't like them, but I use New Balance 411 in wide width. Thge wide width only because I have six toes.
A friend of mine had a pack he was going to use for some steep, high elevation hiking on an Alaskan glacier. He is looking for a new pack in the range of 3500 ci - 4000 ci. Any ideas that I might be...

I did just get a pair of Marmot Precip full zip pants at Mojos at the after winter sale for $40. I may stick with my rain jacket or continue looking for another deal like that.
I don't use OP gear, I am trying to give what little information I have. I am sure that for some people the OP backpacks works very well.

Yes, I have considered a tent. And the bivy is a last resort. I should have been more specific and said make, model, etc.
I have a military gore-tex bivy, and am keeping that option open. I am looking for other shelter options. Any ideas?
Thanks. Looking at a couple of options now.
I am going on a 54 mile section hike and my old tent is shot to heck. Any recommendations?

Look at the OP Nomad and Altitude packs on their site. They seem to be made for backpacking and not just "recreational" purposes.
I am looking for multiple ultralight backpacks that can carry varying weights. I am planning a backpacking trip for the Boyscouts, most of whom are over weight. I am trying to help them lighten their...
Thank you big cranky. Has anyone used the Kelty Cosmic 41?
I found one on Sierra Trading Post, a Marmot 40º Bridger Down, at $119 and 2lb 3oz. Not sure about it though, so still open to suggestions.
Like below $150 and 40º is acceptable but 35º is preferable.
I am looking for a cheap sleeping bag less than 2.5 pounds. I am trying to plan a backpacking trip for other Scouts. Most are out of shape and I am trying to help them lighten the load.
I looked at the Poncho and the Driducks, the Packa looks like the best option Andrew.
