mags i respect you definatly and your info but i am leaving monday for the ct an dont mind dealing with some snow but as you said in 4 days after i leave ill hit snow at gorgia pass but i honestly...
as for this years snow it is lower already than last year, low snow doesnt mean no snow i know but it will be manageable many places are already under 30 inches and southern colorado has even less...
june will be fine to hike. pretty warm out, snows melting fast already less snow now than last year for the state
you might ask this same question in the colorado trail fourm on this site for more responses. the ct would fill your month that you have.

for the seam where the netting connects to the sil nylon what did you do? seal over netting inside over the netting on the seam? or just a thin layer on the out side? just wondering havent done...

i live like 20 mile from the denver trail head if you need a place to stay and a ride to the trail? we could make it happen if you need.
we were between silverton and durango early last september and got snowed on so if you dont mind being wet it was not bad. it was just really wet with rain for like a week
thats really funny because i ended up renting next door to the wondervu.

im staying in aspen moving to boulder next been in colorado springs for two years.
i started in durango last year and i wouldnt do it again if i could help it i will definatly start in denver next year
