Pocket Rocket is a perfect little stove...but for 1 week section hikes, i find that the esbit is all around the winner for me...thru hiking would be a different story...not easy to find the tablets...
The climb up Kelly Knob was totally uncalled for :eek:
I read in the shelter register that someone recommended bull dozing Kelly Knob flat ;)
Granite Gear Vapor Trail is another to look into.
I did a round of P90X...you see this exercise program on infomercials...it is an outstanding all around fitness program...the first 2 sections hikes i did, i was in fair shape( a little overweight)...

My wife is brown...i am white...we will do a section at the end of this month....she doesn't obsess about skin color...that being said...most black people think that hiking is stupid and always make...
Also add that a bear passed through there that night....didn't bother anything...i'm sure it smelled the food on the cables and some idget had dumped ramen down the hill from the shelter.
Stayed there November 1st of '07...great shelter....unusual privy...good water source behind it....great place to cook.
Stayed there Halloween day in '07.....nice shelter...little water that time of year...but enough....met some great people that evening.
I did that section last November...it was very dry last year but i found water...i made sure to ask every SOBO where they got water.
