Park has had several shelters S. of Clingmans Dome closed and am Hoping that will be better by the time I start. Sorta puts a cramp in my plans as now stands.
I am planning on starting a hike Sept 11th from Clingmans Dome to Springer. Trying to finish off the lower part of the trail. 10-15 mile days, depending on the day, with a zero day in Franklin NC.
