If you're still sweating when active, you're not dehydrated. If you still have adequate motor and cognitive skills, you're not chronically dehydrated.
Yeah but correct me if I'm wrong, but one...
That is a great list. But it seems to me that if you've actually spent time researching and using your gear that you'd know whether or not it was good/appropriate. Just for the record, we're...
Maybe you'd enjoy looking at ours! http://www.ellishiking.com/pages2/ngearlist.asp
Then again, maybe you wouldn't!:banana;)
Allright, best of luck! You'll be a couple of weeks ahead of us, so we'll follow you north. :D
Rain pants are most useful for cold, windy weather. Blocking the wind from going through your breathable fabrics is HUGE in these conditions.
I really enjoy browsing the annual gear guide.
Hey thanks for the quick response. $33 each doesn't sound bad at all. Maybe it is just because I'm hungry, but every post on this place has raved about her breakfasts--that about does it for me!

Second, I'd have to agree with Rendezvous01, if you can...
Looks like you are starting a little over a week before us. If we don't see you out there, good luck!
Sure Trooper, it is a Creative Labs Zen Nano Plus 1 Gig. The "Plus" designation is for the addition of an FM radio (and maybe also for the voice recording) and is a little bit more expensive than...
I don't think I've ever kept a journal. We'll be posting updates on our progress on our site every chance we get, but I'm not sure that will count as a journal. The one thing I decided recently to...
My crocs are one of my favorite pieces of gear. :banana
I have never worn more comfortable shoes or sandals.
Russ that is sweet! Are you updating it through a db or something along the way? Or do you have someone back home adding stuff?
Truly awesome stuff.
Okay, here is another vantage point... maybe I should have put this under the "Are you sure you want to thru-hike the AT" thread.... Yikes!;)
...
I just want to skip over the next three weeks (all of the logistical hassles of moving out and wrapping up loose ends). I can't wait for the hike, but I'm hoping (as we are expecting temps near the...
Access to snacks, camera, bug spray, pocket knife, headlamp, maps, etc. I'll
"Third" the hipbelt pocket praise. And I'll "second" the I can't understand why no one else does this.
Our ULA P-2...
My Continued Thanks!
Solemates: where is Pen-Mar?
Would including names of county parks make the list prohibitively long? I like how this list is shaping up though.
Okay, here we go...
see anything by Karl Popper.;):D
Sorry for the interjection...
Ahh... but as all critical rationalists (or logical Positivists) know, a belief in the ultimate power (or truth) of logic is in itself not something that can be empirically tested and therefore must...
Yeah I lost amicalola because someone recommended taking it off...
Is springer located in amicalola or just north of it?
