How about all you cuben fiber users? Do you use groundsheets? I use one under my cuben Solong 6 because I don't want to have to pay another $650.
I just wish it was available for android
There are a couple articles on backpackinglight.com about this. Pretty knowledgeable UL hikers over there. They talk about using plastic washers in between the tape to put holes through.
I do have a few suggestions... Rockfish Outfitters(Waynesboro), Terrapin Station Hostel(Front Royal), ATC Headquarters, Edge of the Woods Outfitter(DWG), Backcountry Outfitter(Kent), Flume Visitor...
My wife and I use a ZPacks 30 degree twin quilt. It weighs 24oz. We really like it. It can be a little slim but joe at zpacks can always work with you. I think its fit for more slender body types. It...
Sassafrass and kaboose.
Does anyone prefer the polycro over other options? Ive used tyvek and it worked great for shelters and tent. I was going to start using polycro this summer to save some weight, but after reading this...

I remember last spring i camped at Carter Gar shelter, but the people who camped at Betty Creek woke up in the middle of a lake. It rained pretty decent for 18 hours straight.
You could park your car at Mountain Harbour(19E) and shuttle to Carvers Gap or the gap just before Roan Mt.(cant remember the name) and hike north. Roan Mt. and the balds in the section are amazing!
I actually took the smallest bag provided with my Sawyer and cut off the top just above halfway up. Use it as a cup to get it into your bladder.
Gossamer Gear has some great UL packs. They sell a seperate inflatable frame for some of their frameless packs. I have the Kumo and I love it. I dont use the inflatable frame but it looks...
My wife and I were also hammockers. We decided to switch to a tent so we could sleep close together. It also could be hard to find a place to hang two hammocks together. We ended up buying the...
Does anyone else use theirs inline on their drinking tube of the hydration system?
Its just as special to be the one who shares the trail magic! ;)
Toothpaste dots. Takes a little pre-hike work but you can take exactly what you need. I use them at home too!
My wife and I both plan on doing this for our 2014 NOBO. She has already decided that she doesnt want to go back to her current job. She feels that it will take a lot for her to just stay there until...
I use mine right on the drinking tube from my hydration bladder. I keep my bladder in an outside pocket. All I have to do is undo my bladder from the drinking tube, fill the bladder, reconnect and...
You can reverse squeeze to backflush. Overtime though Im sure the bag/bladder will fail. How long it last depends on the bag/bladder.
+1 on the above. Working on getting that right. Any tips?
I installed a mesh prefilter on mine to increase the times between backflushes. This is a very good resource for sawyer squeeze users....
First off I'd like to say that my wife and I started a thru hike last April. We made it to Roan Mt., TN(Trail Days weekend). What a journey we had in that short amount of time. And we met some of the...
Yes you can use it as a gravity filter. It may not flow as fast as a specific gravity filter, but it does. You can also give the bladder a slight squeeze that will speed it up along with gravity. I...
I just bought two of these(used one last summer). One for me and one for the wife. We are using them inline(with the adapter kit) on our hydration bladder. No need to "squeeze" any bags. I did take...
