Stayed there twice, shelter situated in a draw, water about 30-40 meters in front of the shelter. Privy up on the hill. Do a search for images on google for Low Gap Shelter. Lots of pictures.

Just review articles written on saving money on a thru hike. There are a lot of good tips. 4500 should be fine. As far as the snoring, what day do you start? Maybe I can avoid sharing a shelter. jk....

Anyone know of a good place to park for 10 days or so in the Waynesboro VA area? I am more than willing to pay. Needs to be close to the AT, I'd like to walk off the trail to my car.
