ATTA-GIRL! Suzzz!
I started a section hike at County Road in June. It appears there might be room for one vehicle on the side of the road.

Absolutely agree with earlyriser26. I also finished the section from PA 309 to DWG gap in February. Did five days and lost five toenails. About average for the PA rocks.

Did that section last year, mostly shuttling and slack-packing, at a modest pace in 21 days. Slo-go'en is right about the "grind"!
Couldn"t agree more. I stayed at Leroy Smith Shelter Saturday night. Just made it before the storm. The temps had been in the 60's most of the week, However, the wind chill was 19 degrees and it was...
I have parked at both the Blue Mountain Summit parking area and the railroad bridge parking in Port Clinton. Had no problem at either and felt quite safe.
QuietStorm: would have liked to join you...

Do you know approximately where and when you will be starting in September?

I finished NY last October. You should enjoy it.

Capt. Scott:
Are you hiking south from DWG later this month? I plan to do the section from DWG to Blue Mountain Summit starting around Feb. 23rd.

Hello:
I plan to slack pack from Blue Mountain Summit to Delaware Water Gap in late February (weather permitting). If you would like to come along I would welcome the company.
CPT Kirk
Steve: Thanks for the insight. I am older and plan to do the section from PA 309 to Delaware Water Gap next month, weather permitting.

I stayed at the MOC and did that section in September. Bob Boyle who lives nearby provided me shuttles. He was very nice and extremely accommodating. His contact info can be found on the AT site for...
Finished the section from DWG to NJ 517 in late September. No bears, plenty of other wildlife including coyotes. Beautiful and relatively easy state.
A mile and a half north at NJ 517 might be a better place, but be sure to obey the posted parking signs.
I did DWG to NJ 517, near Vernon last week and it was extremely dry. Water was available at Mohican Outdoor Center, Carvers Gap and the Ranger Station at NJ 23. Probably also in Unionville, but I...
Lee:
I have completed that section, but my hiking buddy from Danville and I are hiking in NJ and VT this fall. We usually start traveling from Lexington and do a couple of hikes each spring and...
Ktaadn: Thanks. Wish you could join me. I think this section is about 190 miles. I did a 20 mile walk in NY so I hope to do the remaining 170 some time in the next couple of months.
I'll let you...
Looking for hiking partner(s) to do a section hike anywhere between PA 309, Blue Mountain Summit and Stormville, NY in September and/or early October. Normally do 12-to-15 MPD but comfortable with a...
Thanks. I did the same thing. I have not been worried about the integrity of the poles yet. I have been hiking PA so they have been getting a good workout.
My Leki poles are badly corroded also. I have not contacted Leki as yet. Did they volunteer to replace your poles are just provide repair tips?
Hi Speedbump!
Yes, I am interested in NY just about any time after April 23. Shoot me an e-mail or give me a call when you like.

Iris8:
I need NJ and NY. Do you have any dates in April in mind?
CPT Kirk
Hello Speedbump:
I completed MA and CT last summer but will be doing some hiking in NY and VT this summer if you are interested in doing parts of those states.
Sorry we weren't able to coordinate...
