hikers that ware glasses, do you carry an extra pair in case your glasses break, or does that rarely happen? also do glasses warers also ware some kind of hat either baseball cap or bucket type hat...

LT E2Ers how did you get your transportation from Canada. I know there are a couple options, taxi, hitchhike, ect. How did you get home or in may case back to williamstown mass.

thinking of taking my wife on the trail this summer. she has never done an over night hike. hiking south from lehigh gap the terain looks pretty good, what about the rocks? are they really bad south...

2 day hike: i had at least 5 days worth of dog food, 4 ramans (which i ate) 3 cans of campbells chunky soup

it was 5 bucks. i kept my receipt so i was able to stay at the other pay sites for free. it wasn't a big deal.

i really like to listen to the radio; i'm planning on hiking the long trail this summer, and was wondering if it is worth it to bring my pocket radio along?
