Default Southbound with my dog: 2013 thru-hike slideshow

Finished Oct 30, but finally got around to making a slideshow of the journey. I was inspired by 2012 videos, so hope past and future thru-hikers enjoy

The doggy high-five at the end was the best

    Thumbs up

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I hope to create some of those memories for myself someday.
My name is Tony.....No trail name as of yet.

I've backpacked all over the Rockies, and section-hiked parts of the Superior Hiking Trail. I hope try the AT....hopefully in the next couple of years.

Fantastic video of your thru-hike. Loved every minute. The song choice was right on cue. Hopefully if the plans work out, I will be doing a NOBO At thru-hike in 2015. What was the tent that you used that was in the video?

hiking with dog changes the hike, but when i had to leave her for the smoky mountains, i missed her dearly, since i'd been hiking with her for 4 months at that point.

fewer hikers and dogs headed southbound, but it makes it that much more special if you can find and hike with them for parts of the trip. i met two brothers who ended up adopting 2 dogs on the trail. had a blast finishing up the hike with all of them in NC and GA.

Hey man great video! I know their were not many through hikers going southbound with a dog, I heard their was someone in front of me with one. Looks like you have a great friend. It's amazing how many of the exact same pictures I have that are in you're video, including my favorite one, the high five. I have videos on youtube also. congratulations on an incredible feat. what were you're trail names?

I love the bond that is evident between you and your dog. Your video shows that you can make the hike with your buddy contrary to what many on this post recommend. Very nice job.
