    That is a bargain compared to land in Massachusetts! For that price you cannot even buy an acre. Either way, glad to hear the good news.

    I count this as fantastic news. Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is an amazing organization and does a great job overseeing an important resource.
    Everything is easy until you do it.

    Does the land they are purchasing actually include a part of the trail, or is it just adjacent to the trail?

    Adjacent to. The actual footpath in that area is already under federal protection.
