I read Between a Rock and a White Blaze last yr.
I highly recommend it. Particularly for free.

    Very well written.

I don't recommend it at all. The author whines, cries, and complains throughout the book so much that it made me want to reach through the pages and slap some sense into her. She doesn't like people, she doesn't like thru-hiking, she doesn't like inconvenience, she doesn't even like herself. She claims to have done the AT in order to improve herself in some way, but she fails to do even that. I don't know how her husband stands her.

What a selfish, narcissistic person she is.
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime; give a man religion and he will die praying for a fish.
