Default Buena Vista-Pearisburg in late March - weather?

What's typical weather (if there is such a thing these days!) for this area in late March? Cold rain, snow, sleet a potential factor?
    Thanks.

Your real question...should you go? I would chance it. 9 or 10 days, no mountains, plenty of bail out places if the weather heads South. Be somewhat ready for rain and worse. The trail will be pretty empty. I would be ready to alter my plans at the last minute just in case Jim Cantoie shows up.

That is funny. Thanks for an early day snicker.

Weather changes fast in this area. Be prepared for any weather condition and any temperature! You just have to wait for a more accurate forecast. There are certainly (somewhat minor) mountains to cross.
