Pay using PayPal and specifying that the funds are a gift rather than the purchase of merchandise.

Gift means if don't get it for any reason at all, you have no recourse. At least this seller offers to meet in person, so there's little chance of getting ripped off other than a good old mugging. Also, shipping insurance is for the seller, not buyer, so don't pay for something that's not your problem. Sellers should already factor in insurance if they can't afford for it to get lost in the mail.

Anyhow, I'm tempted. I want to get a smaller strong tunnel tent, but I'm not in a financial position to get one right now. I'd even use it on trips to the desert since the solid fabric will help keep fine sand out, and as I learned all too well this year, mesh lets a lot of sand through. Too bad for me since I don't see any vendors selling it for less than full price.

Happy to sell it without the PayPal gift option if buyer pays the 3% PayPal fee. Either way, great price on an amazing tent.

Let me know when it goes down to $150, I may be able to afford it then. Damn nice tent though.
