postage scale

I saw a 3 lb postage scale at Office Max $ 30 + tax
the 5 lb scale $40
I can't think of where to borrow one, I have a lot of little bits and pieces I want to weigh spork, headlamp etc
What do you suggest

Go to the post office. Ours has a scale available in the lobby.

I'm not sure what the catch is, but you should at least look into stamps.com. They give you a free scale and $50 worth of free postage to start out. A lot of small businesses use them.

Here's one I bought on ebay recently, only $15.99 and shipped quick.

It's a nice scale that runs off battery or ac. Nicer that one I paid twice the money. Only drawback is it doesn't measure grams but down to .1 of an oz.

The scale they give attaches to your computer and measures letter and package weight to adjust postage

Unless you really need grams, any digital kitchen scale from Target, Walmart, etc. works great. I just got one at Target for $25, it weighs to decimal tenths. Just watch you don't get one that lists the fraction to the quarter pound--that one went back!
