The true harvest of my life is intangible...a little stardust caught,a portion of the rainbow I have clutched -Thoreau
Gee, just like real life !!!
I wonder how many wanna-bee's this will inspire to try.
Thanks, Mags.

Don't try to donate half-way through your thru - you get set back to start.
Again, Gee - just like real life !!!!

Died after 111 miles. Apparently energy going to zero kills you, no option to camp between shelters to get energy back up!

I just got a stress fracture outside the NOC. I was working my retiree pretty hard. He had also been sprayed by a skunk, incurred massive blisters and been "startled by a chipmunk." Poor chap.

Apparently this stupid game doesn't realize the amount of badassery I possess.....
Hey guys, I'm the developer! Let me know if you have questions or find random bugs like Old Hiker did.
I'll see if I can sort out that donation problem. I don't want games to end early accidentally...I want you to get norovirus and run out of health!
Okay fixed the donation bug. Let me know if you guys run into anything else!
I made about 700 miles using my AT hike as a guideline for how I played it. I didn't seem to get the trail angel offering to fluff up my pillow at night option nor the free stays that I was offered on the AT. Without the help I received on the trail the game predicts I would have died in VA. Most likely true I would have died if I didn't get so much help, but yes the AT includes such help for her children, so there we are.
I tried to simulate my upcoming hike and I die from windburn. Hopefully it is not an indicator of things to come.
I sent in a donation, thanks for the fun!

Haha, too funny Sara! I'm sure you'll do great now that you know to keep an eye out for windburn!
Thanks for the gift! I never figured people would donate money...the game is definitely being received better than I anticipated. It's so exciting to watch the stats and hear people's unique game scenarios!
For the record, 2 people have now completed the entire trail out of several hundred attempts.
I got bit twice by snakes. Then crapped out .3 mi from town.
I must protest. Yet again, we Southbounders have been ignored! I desperately need to see if I can make it out of the 100 mile wilderness before I do it for real!
Oh sweet, now I don't have to waste my time doing it in June. I am do the whole hike from my computer chair!!
I saw a moose just south of Wapiti shelter! (VA)
A mountain lion! "Do those live here?" Love it.
Where do I send to get my AT Completion certificate??
I got Norovirus...just like in real life! Instead, in the game I kept hiking and in real life I took a zero haha
Pretty fun while sitting at work, not working and thinking about hiking.
vtgorilla, 1706 miles and I died from lyme disease (-40 health), with over $3000 cash and 2 months to go. Are there any other things like that you need to watch out for. I guess the lesson for the game is to do more zeroes.
